Peach Moonshine Recipe

Sweet, refreshing peach moonshine with a hint of cinnamon perfect for summer sippin!

Ingredients:

  • 10 ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar (Granulated or brown)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 750ml Everclear (190 proof) or moonshine
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup peach schnapps
  • Mason jars for storage

Instructions:

Prepare the Peaches: Start by peeling and chopping 10 ripe peaches. Ensure they are well-ripened for maximum flavor.
Cook the Peaches: In a large pot, combine chopped peaches, 4 cups of water, 1 cup of sugar, and a cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally and let the mixture simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the peaches become soft and the sugar dissolves completely.
Blend and Strain: Remove from heat. Let the mixture cool slightly, then blend it until smooth. Strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into another large pot, pressing to extract as much juice as possible.
Add Alcohol: Once the peach mixture has cooled to room temperature, stir in 750ml Everclear (or your preferred moonshine) and 1 cup of peach schnapps. For added flavor, stir in a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Jar the Moonshine: Carefully pour the moonshine into sterilized mason jars, making sure to leave a little space at the top. Seal them tightly and store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks to let the flavors meld.
Serve: After aging, your peach moonshine will be ready to enjoy. Serve over ice or use it as a cocktail base.
