Rotel Dip Recipe: The Quickest Party Food You’ll Ever Make!
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef (or sausage)
1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 package (16 oz) Velveeta cheese, cubed
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional for added spice)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions:
Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef (or sausage) over medium heat. Break the meat into crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Add seasonings: Once the meat is cooked through, stir in chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for extra flavor.
Melt the cheese: Lower the heat to medium-low. Add the cubed Velveeta cheese to the skillet, stirring constantly until the cheese has fully melted and combined with the meat.
Add Rotel tomatoes: Stir in the Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, making sure everything is well mixed. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes until it’s creamy and well combined.
Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve hot with tortilla chips. You can also keep the dip warm in a slow cooker on low heat.
Tips:
For a spicier dip, use hot Rotel tomatoes and add more chili powder or a dash of hot sauce.
Substitute the ground beef with sausage or ground turkey for different flavor profiles.
